Enrico Cocchi
Enrico Cocchi is a trainee counsellor and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He works with the NHS Counselling Service in Lambeth and is currently working towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre. Enrico’s integrative training enables him to draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring his work to the individual needs and experiences of each client. His approach may include psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences influence the present, Transactional Analysis to support clients in understanding and managing relationships in healthier ways, and Solution-Focused approaches to help clients recognise and build on what is already working well in their lives.
Enrico provides an empathetic and supportive space where clients can open up and feel seen and heard for who they truly are. He believes that people have inner resources that can support them in navigating life’s challenges and moving towards a fuller, more satisfying life. For Enrico, therapy can be a space to unlock these resources and make sense of what is happening in a person’s life. He works collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, identify what may be holding them back, and discover approaches that feel meaningful and effective for them. His way of working is tailored to each individual, recognising that every person’s journey and needs are unique.
Before training as a counsellor, Enrico worked across consulting, investment banking, local government, and human resources, experiences that have shaped his understanding of workplace issues, conflict resolution, and the pressures people can place on themselves. He understands how internal and external expectations can contribute to stress and unhelpful coping strategies and brings this awareness into his therapeutic work. Enrico has a particular interest in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and workplace challenges, as well as working with LGBTQ+ individuals. Having lived in five countries, he brings cultural awareness and personal insight into the experience of adapting to different environments, with the challenges and opportunities this can bring. Enrico offers therapy in English, Italian, French, and Spanish, and is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive space where clients feel understood and respected.
