Jade Simmons
Jade Simmons is a trainee counsellor and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is currently completing a Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre and works with NHS Talking Therapy in Sutton. Jade supports adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, and emotional overwhelm, and her integrative training draws on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Relational, and CBT-informed approaches. This enables her to adapt her work to each client’s individual needs while offering a therapeutic space that feels steady, respectful, and grounded.
Jade’s approach is warm, gentle, and attuned. She believes that people naturally move towards healing when they feel safe enough to listen to themselves, and she sees therapy as a place where clients can reconnect with their own inner guidance rather than being directed towards external answers. Working from a relational, client-led perspective, Jade walks alongside her clients, offering curiosity, reflection, and a calm presence rather than imposing direction. Her work is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed, recognising the importance of safety, autonomy, and collaboration. Depending on each client’s needs, she may support them in exploring past experiences, understanding present-day patterns, developing emotional regulation strategies, or strengthening self-compassion. Her intention is always to help clients feel understood, supported, and more connected to themselves, enabling them to make choices that feel authentic and aligned with their values.
Before training as a counsellor, Jade worked within CAMHS, PRU/EBSNA settings, and neurodiversity support services, gaining valuable experience supporting individuals facing complex emotional and systemic challenges. This background has shaped her understanding of how early experiences, family systems, and neurodevelopmental differences can influence emotional wellbeing throughout adulthood. Jade has a particular interest in working with anxiety, trauma, neurodiversity, identity development, and relational patterns. She brings a thoughtful, compassionate, and open presence to her therapeutic work, supporting clients to build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and develop more compassionate ways of relating to themselves and others. Jade is passionate about helping clients reconnect with their strengths, honour their boundaries, and move towards greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust, always recognising the wisdom and capacity for growth that each individual already carries within themselves.
