Laura Reijonen is a BACP and ICO registered humanistic counsellor. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic practice, integrating Gestalt, Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis approaches. She practices in Tooting and Ealing.

Laura believes everything a person has lived through, and everything they hope for, lives in them now. She meets clients in their world – as she listens deeply, attunes to their experience, helping them to uncover what’s already within them. She holds space for both joy and pain with steadiness and care, gently offering new context or perspective when it may serve a client’s growth. Some clients with experience of CBT found further progression in a relational approach such as this.

Laura brings both lived experience and professional training to the therapeutic work. Whether through her own journey or walking alongside loved ones, she holds personal understanding of depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, cultural identity, physical difference or disability, queerness, compulsion and addiction, codependency, suicidal thoughts, existential questioning, and spirituality. This list provides examples of what clients might bring, but is by no means definitive.

As an ACA-informed counsellor, Laura is aware of how unspoken family roles can shape our sense of self and worth, quoting the Big Red Book:

“Counselling makes us aware of dysfunctional family roles and the unspoken messages that drive us to doubt ourselves.”

During counselling with Laura, clients often begin to notice subtle, meaningful shifts in their day-to-day lives. These shifts evolve alongside the therapeutic relationship, opening space for new perspectives and ways of being.
