Lucy Blenk
As an integrative counsellor Lucy’s approach combines person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and transactional analysis (TA). She utilises person-centered therapy to establish a trusting relationship and to deeply understand the client’s experiences. CBT is incorporated to provide psychoeducation, challenge negative thought patterns and develop practical coping strategies. TA is employed to explore relationship dynamics, identify recurring patterns, and uncover the origins of learned behaviours. Through this integrated approach, Lucy empowers clients to process their past, understand their present, and build a healthier future.
Drawing on her extensive experience as a yoga and mindfulness teacher, a Health and Wellness coach and cancer survivor, Lucy offers a holistic approach to counselling, combining the therapeutic benefits of mind-body practices with evidence-based counselling techniques. Her personal journey has given her a deep understanding of the complexities of life and the importance of emotional well-being. Sessions with Lucy help clients explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Together, harnessing the power of body, mind and spirit to foster resilience, healing, and personal growth.
Lucy has special interest in relationships, family dynamics and addictions. Lucy Blenkinsopp is an integrative counsellor and is registered with the BACP. Lucy is working within The Awareness Centre and hopes to continue working within the team for the foreseeable future. Lucy is working towards an advanced diploma in Integrative Counselling. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Lambeth.
