Marianthi provides a compassionate and empathetic space where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported. She has experience in many different therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Currently, she is being trained existentially using the phenomenological method. This approach involves delving deeply into the client’s experience to understand their unique worldview and treating the cause of their distress rather than just the symptoms. By exploring the client’s lived experiences, Marianthi helps them gain insights into their issues and fosters a deeper understanding of themselves, promoting healing and empowerment.

With extensive experience working with clients with trauma, particularly in childhood, Marianthi has a deep understanding of trauma and its impacts. She specialises in trauma, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. In addition to her counselling experience, Marianthi has a background in education as a teacher, which has enriched her understanding of the developmental and psychological challenges faced by young people. This blend of educational and therapeutic expertise enables her to offer a holistic approach to mental health, addressing both emotional and practical aspects of her clients’ lives. Marianthi is committed to helping clients manage their emotions and stress in healthier ways, fostering resilience and personal growth.

Marianthi Kolovopoulou is a dedicated counsellor registered with the BACP, currently working towards a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. With a strong educational background, including a Level 3 Diploma in Counselling and a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice.
