Marie Heera
Marie Heera understands each one of us is unique, as is our journey through therapy. Here at The Awareness Centre Marie provides a welcoming environment with an integrative approach towards counselling. She sources from a range of modalities to create a subjective therapy plan to meet the needs of all her clients, while offering a warm, supportive safe space with complete unconditional positive regard in which clients are free to explore their inner and deepest thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
Marie’s authentic stance brings empathy, warmth and congruence to her sessions, empowering clients to become their most authentic versions of themselves, find acceptance within and make the positive change they desire, while supporting clients to develop new tools to navigate everyday life, process stressful experiences and strive to create achievable goals and strategies to move forward. She utilises her life experiences to enhance her therapy, supporting clients with presentations such as stress, anxiety, depression, guilt, intercultural conflicts with Western society.
Marie has gained experience in these areas throughout her years of working within the Legal and Financial corporate industry to undergoing a career change into the Health and Fitness sector working as a Personal Trainer whereby both physical and mental health are heavily promoted to boost confidence, empowerment as well as physical strength.
Marie is a trainee integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She upholds high professional standards and ethics within her practice and is currently pursuing a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
