Nasrin Rashid is a trainee counsellor working with adults and is a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Nasrin is currently working towards an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre. She offers a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. Working from an integrative approach, she draws on a range of therapeutic perspectives to tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs, recognising that no single approach is right for everyone. Her experience of supporting people through times of challenge, change and uncertainty has strengthened her belief that every individual deserves to be met with empathy, respect and understanding. Through her work with clients, Nasrin has developed a deep appreciation for the importance of listening carefully to each person’s unique story and recognising the experiences that have shaped their lives. She understands that taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting and is committed to creating a safe, accepting environment where clients feel heard, valued and supported from the outset.

Nasrin believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change and works collaboratively with clients to build a trusting, authentic connection. She supports clients in exploring their thoughts, emotions and experiences while developing greater awareness of the patterns that influence how they relate to themselves, others and the challenges they face. Recognising that every therapeutic journey is unique, she takes time to understand each client’s individual needs, perspectives and hopes for therapy, working at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful. By integrating different therapeutic approaches, she encourages clients to deepen their self-awareness, recognise their strengths and develop new ways of understanding themselves and their experiences. Her aim is to provide a supportive space where clients feel empowered to reflect, grow and move towards lasting emotional wellbeing.

Before training as a counsellor, Nasrin’s professional background centred on supporting people through periods of uncertainty, transition and personal challenge. This experience has enriched her understanding of the resilience people possess, even during difficult times, and continues to inform her compassionate and client-centred way of working. She has experience supporting adults presenting with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties and is committed to providing therapy that honours each person’s individuality, strengths and capacity for change. Alongside her clinical work, she is dedicated to ongoing professional development, reflective practice and ethical working, ensuring she continues to offer thoughtful, inclusive and effective therapeutic support to every client she works with.
