Rosella Pizzi
Rosella Pizzi is a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with their Ethical Framework. In addition, she holds a BA (Hons) in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures. She provides individual counselling for adults and children (7+), offering open-ended support within The Awareness Centre Services, as well as volunteering at the Women’s Centre.
Grounded in the Relational Integrative Model, Rosella’s theoretical approach focuses on establishing an authentic, trusting, and mutual connection between therapist and client as she believes this relationship is essential for effective therapy and the healing process. She combines different modalities depending on clients’ needs and circumstances. Within this approach, she may also facilitate the exploration of your childhood and past experiences as they influence, possibly unconsciously, your present behaviours, thoughts, and relations.
Her aim is to encourage your self-awareness and self-compassion, empowering you to break negative patterns and move forward in a renewed way. Rosella endeavours to achieve this by establishing a warm, compassionate, and confidential space free of judgment where, together, you navigate and explore your experiences and emotions at your own pace. Rosella recognises that you are the expert of your own being, and when offered the right conditions and environment, you have the capacity to thrive and achieve your full potential.
Her experience includes working with primary school children and adults in various settings, with presenting issues that comprise anxiety, depression, panic attacks, anger management, domestic abuse, self-harming behaviours, relationship difficulties, grief, loss, low self-confidence, low self-esteem and more.
Additionally, drawing from her background in the corporate travel industry, spanning various roles and international experiences, she brings a heightened empathy for mental health issues in the workplace, addressing challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, conflicts, work fatigue, burnout, performance pressure, bullying, harassment, and other related challenges. Having lived and worked internationally, she’s gained insights into diverse cultures, deepening her understanding of issues related to belonging and identity.
As a former volleyball player and passionate swimmer and yoga practitioner, Rosella embraces an active, healthy lifestyle. She believes exercise builds self-confidence, resilience, and a strong mind-body connection, inspiring her holistic approach to well-being.
