
ShediYah HatNebMaoo – Clinical Supervisor
ShediYah HatNebMaoo is a Transpersonal Child, Adolescent & Family Therapist MBACP, MA, AIST and has over 20 years’ experience as an Integrative practitioner. ShediYah compliments her practice by using a creative style of working using visualisations, art, written exercises, story-telling, role play Sandplay and Play therapy. During her practice she has worked with addiction, abuse and trauma and with families affected by the misuse of alcohol and substance abuse. Alongside being a Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in private practice ShediYah has managed counselling services and she also works in a higher education establishment, secondary schools and primary school settings supporting the children, young people, their parents and staff. As a Clinical Supervisor she has supported students and also qualified practitioners within organisations and also via her private practice.
ShediYah has experience of working with adult clients from diverse backgrounds and her qualification as an Intercultural Counsellor, has equipped her to support her clients to explore cultural challenges. She also has experience of working with young people and supporting them through the challenges of puberty, empowering them to raise their self-image and to gain a greater understanding of the Self, which in turn fuels their self-esteem. ShediYah has worked with young people and families affected by gang culture, trauma, rape, sexual abuse and domestic abuse. ShediYah has also worked with attachment challenges, self-harm, bereavement, loss and substance abuse.
ShediYah’s therapeutic work of supporting families has enabled them to become empowered within their family systems aiding them to raise and enhance communication and ultimately having better relationships, inside and outside of their family units.
