Silvia Imbergamo is a trainee counsellor and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is currently completing her Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre and works with the NHS Talking Therapy in Lambeth. Silvia is developing her clinical experience by supporting clients experiencing a range of emotional difficulties, life changes, and personal concerns. Her integrative training enables her to draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor her work to meet each client’s individual needs, creating a therapeutic experience that is collaborative, responsive, and supportive.

Silvia provides a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. She believes that every individual possesses unique strengths and capacities for growth and works collaboratively with clients to help them build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful change. Silvia is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where people feel genuinely heard, valued, and respected. Recognising that seeking support can be a significant step, she is committed to developing therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy, trust, and authenticity. Through her integrative approach, Silvia supports clients in exploring their emotions, understanding their experiences, and finding ways to move towards greater emotional wellbeing and a more balanced life.

Before training as a counsellor, Silvia worked as a graphic designer, where she developed a strong appreciation for creativity as a powerful means of communication, connection, and emotional expression. Her interest in mental wellbeing grew through her voluntary work with Mindful Mums at South East London Mind, where she supported parents facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, and the impact of physical and mental health difficulties. Through facilitating support groups and working alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds, Silvia strengthened her commitment to helping people navigate life’s stressors with greater confidence and compassion. She has a particular interest in relationships and has undertaken additional training in neurodiversity, loss, and bereavement. Silvia brings these experiences into her therapeutic practice, offering thoughtful and empowering support that helps clients explore their challenges, reconnect with their strengths, and move towards meaningful personal growth.
