MonikaVostrcilova
Monika Vostrcilova is a trainee counsellor currently working towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre. She works with clients through The Awareness Centre’s NHS Lambeth Counselling Service, supporting adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, relational, and psychological difficulties. Monika is developing her clinical experience working with clients presenting with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, grief, attachment difficulties, identity concerns, and relationship challenges. Her integrative training enables her to draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs while providing a compassionate, ethical, and collaborative therapeutic service.
Monika offers a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients feel listened to, respected, and understood. She believes that each person’s experiences are unique and works collaboratively with clients to help them explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships in a way that feels safe and meaningful. As an integrative counsellor in training, she draws on a range of approaches, including humanistic, relational, and cognitive techniques, adapting her work to meet each client’s individual needs. Monika has a particular interest in supporting clients experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, body image concerns, difficulties with self-worth, and emotional regulation. She works alongside clients to increase self-understanding, clarify personal goals, build resilience, and support meaningful and lasting change.
Before training as a counsellor, Monika gained experience working within the mental health field and supporting clients experiencing fertility-related difficulties. She understands the emotional impact that fertility treatment can have and offers sensitive, compassionate support to clients navigating the thoughts, feelings, and challenges that can arise throughout this journey. Her background in psychology and healthcare has given her valuable insight into the importance of combining evidence-informed practice with warmth, empathy, and respect for each individual’s personal, cultural, and social context. Monika is committed to creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, strengthen their emotional wellbeing, and move towards positive and sustainable change.
