Tony Clark is an integrative therapist who has worked in the NHS and private sector with both individuals and couples. He received a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and a Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He is a registered member of COSRT and has membership with the BACP, working in private practice at the Awareness Centre in Clapham.

Tony aims to create an environment where every client feels seen, heard and accepted unconditionally. He works without judgment, no matter how unconventional the client’s views, providing a safe space to freely express their feelings and direct their self-exploration as they see fit. Tony integrates Person-Centered therapy with Gestalt, a modality which is existential with roots in psychoanalysis. He finds this approach beneficial in helping the client to focus on their immediate thoughts, feelings and behaviour and to deepen their understanding of the way they relate to others. Tony has helped clients to look inward, connecting with their gut feelings and intuitions rather than externally for validation, bringing a sense of freedom and lightness into their lives.

Tony has experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, anger, obsessive compulsive disorder and stress. He worked in the NHS providing specialised relationship and psychosexual therapy for individuals and couples dealing with issues related to addiction, communication, sexuality, abuse, sex, trauma and sexual identity. Tony enjoys working with clients of various ages and backgrounds and is curious to explore each individual’s unique challenges as they surface.
