Ana Maria Grigore
Everyone deserves to be understood rather than judged.
Ana Maria is a trainee integrative counsellor who believes that meaningful change begins when people feel accepted as they are, rather than feeling they need to hide parts of themselves. Ana Maia is currently completing a Level 4/5 Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre and is a registered Student Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She works within the BACP Ethical Framework, placing importance on respect, confidentiality, integrity and working collaboratively with each client. She recognises that none of us are perfect and that life can leave us carrying self-doubt, shame or experiences that feel difficult to share. Her aim is to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients feel safe to explore whatever is important to them at their own pace. Throughout her training, she has been recognised by peers for her calm presence, genuine warmth and ability to help others feel heard, accepted and understood.
Her integrative training draws on Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Solution-Focused Therapy, enabling her to tailor her approach to each individual’s unique needs. Alongside her core training, she has attended additional workshops exploring anxiety and depression, shame and guilt, transcultural counselling, gender and sexuality, and addiction. She offers counselling in both English and Romanian.
She has a particular interest in supporting adults experiencing anxiety, shame and low self-esteem, as well as challenges relating to identity and life transitions. She also enjoys working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and is committed to providing a culturally sensitive therapeutic space where each person’s unique experiences are respected and valued.
