In a warm and welcoming environment, Claire Russell uses integrative counselling to help you develop your emotional awareness and increase self-understanding and self-acceptance. This will enable you to explore any obstacles that you are facing, allowing your confidence in tackling emotional difficulty to grow. As a counsellor she sees the relationship she builds with her clients as the most intrinsic aspect of her work as this forms the basis for their ability to openly process trauma, understand their life better and make changes if they wish. An integrative approach means that Claire will employ different therapeutic techniques, adopting those that are best suited to you as an individual, as well as the circumstances that have led you to seek therapy. Before training as a counsellor Claire took a degree in Politics and worked for an MP. She then worked in marketing for many years.

Her areas of special interest and experience include: anxiety, panic attacks, confidence and self esteem, stress, trauma, loneliness, bereavement, depression, relationship issues, intimacy issues, divorce, family conflict, infidelity, life transitions, peer relationships, estrangement, abuse and grief, bereavement and loss.

With a Diploma in Counselling and BACP registration, she has gone on to work as a counsellor with a number of organisations and has a private practice in Fulham and at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. Claire Russell is an integrative counsellor who works with anyone who is struggling with life’s challenges. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, Claire will help you explore any painful experiences and unhealthy or unhelpful behavioural patterns in a non-judgemental and safe space, so that change and growth are facilitated through compassion, empathy and understanding towards others, and more vitally towards yourself.
