Hilton Silva – NHS Team Leader Wandsworth

Hilton Silva is a Team Leader at The Awareness Centre, supporting both the clinical team and all our therapists within our NHS Wandsworth Talking Therapies Services.

Hilton comes from a teaching background, where his interest in mental health begun during his voluntary work with trans youths in his native Sao Paulo, stemming a desire to support others from underprivileged backgrounds. His other volunteer roles include supporting specific communities of Black, Brown, Latino, and LGBTQIA+ communities. He brings a natural flair to support our therapists, drawing upon his past customer service experience and from his work as a CELTA-qualified teacher for over 6 years. He embraces a love of communication and the English language.

Hilton initially worked within our reception team before gaining promotion to Counselling Coordinator, and again further promotion to his current role as Team Leader. He brings invaluable experience from within NHS placement and of all our processes and procedures. Hilton is a qualified psychosexual therapist and outside of his agency role, he also works in private practice from The Awareness Centre. Clapham.
