Dr Rinat Shemesh is the Clinical Supervisor for the TAC Diploma in Integrative Counselling, She is a qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor at the University of Derby (MA ) and works as a Child and Adolescent (Psychoanalytic) Psychotherapist at The Tavistock Clinic. She has PhD in Psychoanalytic Studies from the University of Essex.
Rinat works for the NHS in CAMHS clinics as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, where she sees both children, young adults and parents and where she manages trainees and newly qualified clinicians. Rinat believes in the education and development of new clinicians through the experience of supervision.
Rinat teaches at the Tavistock clinic: on the Adults Psychotherapy course and the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic studies – pre-clinical course. Rinat also works clinically with adults in a charity and in private practice.
Rinat supervises individual clinicians and groups extensively, both in the NHS and privately. She believes in the significance of supervision, and on providing trainees with a safe and containing space to explore their work and search for meaning and understanding in a supportive environment.
