Sally Quail holds an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling and is a BACP-accredited integrative counsellor, drawing on person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. She also holds a Diploma in Clinical Supervision of Individuals and Groups.
She is currently Counselling Lead at a BACP-accredited Community Counselling Service in South East London, providing low-cost counselling for adults. She has extensive experience working with diverse client groups, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and complex mental health difficulties. She has particular expertise in trauma and has contributed to trauma-informed training, initiatives, and published work. Previously, Sally worked as a counsellor for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse. Alongside her Counselling Lead role, she maintains a small private practice offering counselling and clinical supervision.
As a supervisor, Sally offers a supportive, reflective, and appropriately challenging space for trainees to develop their practice and professional identity. Her integrative and relational approach draws on established supervision models, including the Hawkins and McMahon 7-Eyed Model and the Page and Wosket Cyclical Model. Drawing on her experience as a Counselling Lead within a Community Counselling service, Sally brings a grounded understanding of the transition from theory to clinical practice. This experience informs her supervision, supporting trainees to develop confidence and professional judgement, and to grow as reflective practitioners.
