Aaron Walton wants to provide, the client, a space where you can come as you are, be who you are, and feel comfortable enough show how you are really doing. Aaron believes that the counselling space should be place where a client can be unapologetically themselves free of pretences. Aaron see’s counselling as a collaborative endeavour, where he wants the client to feel that they are not travelling alone on their journey and that they have someone and some place they can come to support them along their way. Aaron has an integrative approach, which means he draws upon different ways of working according to what his client needs, tailoring his approach to suit the those needs. Aaron is person-centred at his core, meaning that the client leads on their own exploration of their thoughts and feelings while it is the counsellor’s responsibility to create an empathetic environment to enable the client to explore.

Aaron has had a varied career with experience working in retail, mental health provisions, immigration and policy. This career path has provided Aaron the opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life, from members of the general public to Members of Parliament. Through this experience, Aaron has learned that regardless of a person’s status, we all have our struggles and sometimes we just need someone to listen to us. Aaron’s mantra was proved true during his tenure as a listening volunteer with the Samaritans, where he has listened to and provided support to hundreds of people across the UK who just needed someone to listen to them.

Aaron is an integrative Psychotherapist working towards a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  He will then pursue a Masters in the same field. Aaron is BACP registered and will be seeing NHS patients for counselling at a GP surgery in Wandsworth.
