Anna Piechota is a trainee integrative psychotherapist and a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), working within The Awareness Centre’s low cost counselling service in Clapham. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.

In her practice, Anna creates a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where clients can freely explore their thoughts and emotions. She believes that therapy not only assists in processing difficult feelings and life challenges but also promotes deeper self-awareness and meaningful change. By building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and understanding, Anna collaborates with clients to help them navigate their thoughts and relationships with compassion and care. Using an integrative approach, Anna incorporates psychodynamic techniques to delve into past influences and relational patterns, humanistic principles to enhance self-awareness, and existential insights to explore life’s deeper meanings. Her approach is always tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.

With a professional background in HR and a degree in History of Art, Anna offers a unique perspective on therapy. Her experience in HR provides her with a nuanced understanding of complex relationships and the pressures of various expectations. Meanwhile, her studies in art history have instilled in her a profound appreciation for how culture and expression shape our emotional lives. This creative lens enriches her practice, enabling her to examine clients’ challenges from a broader, holistic viewpoint. Whether addressing workplace stress, conflict resolution, or personal struggles, Anna is dedicated to helping clients find meaning and connection in their lives. She has experience supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, identity issues, bereavement, anger management, and life transitions. Anna is committed to fostering personal growth and deeper connections, empowering her clients to uncover their inner strengths and lead more fulfilling lives. Having been a client in therapy herself, Anna understands that starting this process can be intimidating. The decision to seek help often comes with a mix of emotions, including anxiety and vulnerability. She appreciates how daunting it can feel to share personal thoughts and feelings with someone new, especially when navigating challenging experiences. This firsthand experience informs her approach as a therapist, allowing her to create a warm and supportive environment where clients feel safe to open up. Her own experiences allow her to better support clients as they embark on their journeys of self-discovery and healing. Anna is committed to walking alongside them, offering the guidance and understanding they need as they navigate their unique paths toward growth and well-being.
