Chantelle Studman
Chantelle Studman is an Integrative Counsellor working in private practice at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. She works both online and face to face as part of her private practice and has experience working within the NHS for Talk Wandsworth. She has a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and is a registered member of the BACP. Her other qualifications include a diploma in Sound Therapy and Reiki practitioner training. She believes embodying mental, physical, and emotional well-being is key to supporting you to feel more integrated and empowered.
Chantelle offers a calm and connected space for clients to express and explore challenging thoughts, emotions and behaviours with empathetic understanding, warmth, and compassion. She can support clients to feel seen and heard in their most authentic self, and by doing so, can provide a deeper understanding of themselves and how they relate to the world around them. She facilitates clients to draw upon their inner strength and tools to offer a new perspective, overcome obstacles, and help them on the path towards inner change. Chantelle uses an integrative approach meaning she combines elements of various therapies, tailoring each session to the unique needs of an individual to promote their mental well-being. She draws upon person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT and elements of DBT and Internal family systems. Integrating a variety of approaches means she can reflect on challenges present in the here and now, whilst also considering the influence of the past.
With a background in Sound Therapy and Mindfulness at the Amy Winehouse Foundation, Chantelle has been supporting young women overcoming drug and alcohol addiction, mental health challenges and complex trauma through the mind and body relationship. She has worked with clients navigating neurodiversity, eating disorders, sexual trauma, and LGBTQI+ challenges. She has experience working with people going through extremely challenging times in their life, helping to cultivate healthier coping mechanisms leading to a more balanced and fulfilled life. Chantelle has an interest and experience in creating a grounded space using body awareness and Integrative Somatic Psychotherapy to help guide clients develop a connection to their nervous system, stress response and emotions held within the body.
