Claire Hall offers a safe and empathetic environment so clients can explore their emotions and consider the best way forward for themselves. She allows the client to direct the session while using a range of methods to help the client develop a greater understanding of themselves and move towards a fulfilled life. She uses an integrative approach so the session can be tailored to the clients’ needs however her core style is client-centred therapy which she believes leads to the best exploration and development for clients. She may incorporate some CBT as a coping tool for anxiety and negative emotions.

Before training to become a therapist, Claire worked in human resources for many years which has led to a thorough understanding of the pressures of the working environment. She has worked with many situations where a person has the appearance of functioning well in everyday life but in reality, is struggling or overwhelmed. She has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety and stress as well as 2 years of experience working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse.

Claire is an integrative counsellor and registered with the BACP. She provides counselling at The Awareness Centre in Lewisham.  Claire is currently working towards an advanced diploma in integrative counselling.
