Cordy provides a safe and supportive environment to help clients examine any issues they are struggling within their lives. Cordy believes that by talking about past and present problems with a therapist in a neutral, non-judgmental space, clients can see their issues more clearly and objectively. In doing so, her clients are able to discover better ways of handling problems for themselves, and they can lessen the power of old habits and wounds.
With a background in corporate communications and journalism, Cordy has a particular interest in relationships both in and out of the workplace. She understands the importance of good communication and can work with clients to identify negative patterns of relating to others. With her background in the corporate world, she understands the stress that people can come under, and the negative coping patterns this pressure may lead to. Whether with friends, family, colleagues, or a partner, she can identify unhelpful patterns of relating and communicating, and help her clients break these cycles to enjoy more fulfilling relationships, both professionally and personally.
Cordy uses an integrative approach to counselling, drawing on a range of techniques to help her clients. She is currently working towards an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and is a student member of the BACP. She works within The Awareness Centre’s Low-Cost Counselling Service in Tooting.
