Ekaterina Ermakova offers a calm, holding and containing environment, in which her client can begin to explore and make sense of their inner world. Through a therapeutic relationship based on empathy, acceptance and non-judgment, Ekaterina aims to support her client in the process of working through the difficulties that bring them to counselling. Ekaterina’s approach to counselling is integrative and client-led – she draws predominantly on psychodynamic and person-centred theories while being guided by the individual needs of her client.

Ekaterina comes from a legal background, bringing an analytical mind, high attention to detail, and clear communication style to her counselling work. Having worked for over 10 years in a corporate setting, Ekaterina has an insight into a wide range of work-related mental health difficulties including stress, anxiety, depression and burn-out.

Ekaterina has completed a foundation-level training in psychodynamic counselling and is currently working towards an MA in integrative psychotherapy and counselling. She is a student member of the BACP and abides by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Profession.

Ekaterina is a placement counsellor within the The Awareness Centre’s Low-Cost Counselling Service in Tooting. In addition to offering counselling at The Awareness Centre, she volunteers at a residential respite centre in North London, supporting individuals in crisis.
