Ettore Manni
Ettore cultivates a therapeutic environment characterised by warmth, acceptance, and non-judgment, where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. His therapeutic approach is firmly grounded in psychodynamic principles, acknowledging the intricate interplay between unconscious processes and unique individual past experiences, which may shape present difficulties. Central to his practice is the establishment of a strong therapeutic alliance founded on trust, empathy, and the encouragement of exploration of one’s inner world. Ettore’s integrative framework enables him to tailor his approach according to the diverse needs of his clients, seamlessly integrating insights from humanistic perspectives, psychodynamic theories, and mindfulness practices. Through this integrative lens, he aims not only to help clients navigate their current challenges but also to facilitate their personal growth and self-awareness, empowering them to lead more fulfilling lives.
Drawing from his background as a musician and freelance sound and lighting engineer, Ettore brings a unique set of skills to his counselling practice. His experiences have honed his interpersonal abilities, creativity, and organisational proficiency, enriching his therapeutic work with clients. Having lived in different countries, Ettore possesses a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and is a staunch advocate for improving mental health accessibility on a global scale. He is particularly passionate about supporting individuals experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues, promoting healing and self-understanding.
Ettore is working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling. He is an integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Currently affiliated with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Lambeth.
