Pamela Thompson

Pamela Thompson is a MBACP Accredited psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. She trained at Goldsmiths University, London obtaining a MA in Counselling and holds a Diploma in Clinical Supervision.

Pamela brings an integrative, psychodynamic and person-centred approach; with specialist focus on Cultural therapy, CBT and Drama therapy. Her extensive experience includes volunteering for Victim Support and working within other agencies such as Southwark Bereavement and Waterloo Counselling Service.

She is passionate in creating a therapeutic space that supports students, teachers and the community, and has previously developed group work and a solution focused drop-in service; designing workshops to address self-esteem, anxiety, psychoeducation on self-harm, suicide ideation, Mental Health issues and gang culture; working collaboratively with other community agencies to raise awareness. Her experience has included therapeutic support to those who were impacted by the Grenfell Tower incident, keeping children safe. Since 2020, she has tutored delivering Level 2 and Level 3 counselling courses.

As a supervisor, Pamela works to support and nurture her supervisees, encouraging their own developing self-awareness and clinical growth by facilitating an environment that creates curiosity for improved reflective clinical practice.
