Raja provides a safe, confidential, welcoming and non-judgmental space, where you can feel acknowledged and heard, to explore your feelings and work through your emotions to gain valuable insight. Raja enables you to better understand your own unique experience, history and narrative which can lead to self-awareness and a deeper insight into your personal story make different choices.

Raja previously worked as a nurse. So, she understands the effect of poor health on one’s mental health and visa versa. Coming from an ethnic background, Raja appreciates how challenging it is to open up and discuss mental health in certain cultures and the difficulties that imposes on one’s life. Raja has worked on a number of issues including: Anxiety, depression, relationships difficulties, self-confidence and self-esteem, family issues, loss and is particularly interested in race and ethnicity and cultural issues.

Raja is a BACP registered integrative counsellor, integrating concepts from the psychodynamic and person centred models and work with what you know and can tell her about yourself, your experiences and your history, to uncover the roots of your concerns.

Raja has a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body. She also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology. Raja has good clinical experience working with a diverse range of clients within the NHS and private practice.
