Minoo Briscoe offers her clients the opportunity to explore their thoughts, feelings and needs in a safe space. By communicating warmth and gaining an understanding and insight, she shows appreciation of each client’s unique situation in a supportive space. She works to enable her clients to be themselves and to talk freely. Minoo’s continued training in integrative counselling brings together different elements of specific theories. She believes in drawing upon more than one modality, by blending relevant theory and interventions to enable an approach that meets the individual needs of her clients. She brings a person-centered approach of being trustworthy, non-judgmental and genuine that establishes and creates a supportive and co-operative relationship with her clients. Her approach focuses on her clients as a whole so they feel safe and secure both physically and emotionally. Central to her work is gaining understanding of her client’s internal frame of reference so they can achieve their goals and aspirations.
Minoo has spent a vast amount of time working in retail. After 25 years in a retail company, she has gained an incredible amount of experience in dealing with diversity. She has an appreciation and understanding of people’s needs from different backgrounds and cultures. Her career has gained her experience of working within the corporate sector, often working in teams. Such experience has strengthened her listening and communication skills.
