Tomasz Pasieka believes in providing a supportive and sympathetic ambience for each of his clients. By focusing with attention and understanding on his clients’ often difficult and painful experiences, he cares deeply about what someone would like to talk about and what may stop them from living their lives as they always wanted to live.
Tomasz strongly believes in a humanistic integrative approach which allows him to choose the way of working that is at the same time the most helpful for and acceptable by his clients. So, he may use Person-Centred approach to help someone develop their inner potential, Transactional Analysis to help resolve relationships issues or CBT to help better manage obsessive thoughts or unhelpful behaviours.
Tomasz worked for many years in health care helping and supporting people who struggled with addictions, mental health problems, learning disabilities and autism. He understands very well how it may be hard and difficult to live under often unbearable pressures that life throws at us. That is why Tomasz pays so much of his attention to each of his clients’ own natural pace of working towards their personal goals.
Tomasz is a humanistic integrative counsellor, registered with the BACP. He works within The Awareness Centre’s low cost counselling service in Clapham and as a voluntary counsellor at a drug and alcohol service in Croydon. Tomasz is currently working towards an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling.
