Fay Ayadi believes in the power of counselling to help her clients attain their goals. She offers an empathic and non-judgemental space where they have the opportunity to talk openly, knowing that they will be heard and accepted. Fay adopts an integrated treatment approach by drawing techniques from psychodynamic and person-centred theories.
Fay’s aim is to build a trusting relationship that will enable her clients to uninhibitedly navigate their present and past whilst forming meaningful connections. As therapy is profoundly personal, Fay believes in creating a calming and safe environment where clients can feel comfortable working through emotional roadblocks. Fay supports her clients in exploring their issues and addressing them in a way that works for them.
With a long history of providing support to non-English speakers as a translator, she has learnt about the difficult consequences of being unable to elucidate our thoughts or feelings. This experience has expanded her cultural awareness and enabled her to understand the pressing factors of a fast-paced work environment.
Fay is a trainee integrative counsellor and is a student member of the BACP. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service and sees patients at a GP Surgery in Lambeth. Fay is working towards a diploma in therapeutic counselling.
