With over 120 students and three core courses, our training school has gone from strength to strength since its inception, and this is only the beginning.
The TAC Training School core courses: The Foundation Certificate in Counselling, the Diploma in Integrative Counselling, and the Diploma in Clinical Supervision continue to be popular, with spaces filling up quickly on all three courses.
Our Training School team members have worked diligently to ensure that all our courses give our students the skills and experience they need in order to succeed in their careers as counsellors, therapists and supervisors.

“Studying the Diploma course has given me real confidence in my counselling skills. There are so many opportunities on the course for personal and professional growth within a safe and encouraging environment.
The course content is progressive and structured in a way that you can fit it around other commitments. The tutors, supervisors, and staff are supportive and genuinely caring.
So glad I made the decision to study with The Awareness Centre.”

New Premises
We are very excited to announce that in the New Year, our Training School will be moving to a new space in Clapham. This area will be entirely dedicated to the Training School staff and students, giving them plenty of space to expand and flourish. Watch this space to find out where our new premises will be!
New Tutors
We are delighted to welcome Murray Blacket as our new Programme Manager of the Foundation Certificate. As an existing tutor on this course, Murray brings first-hand experience of the course content and its delivery to this role. Murray is a highly experienced psychotherapist (UKCP and COSRT accredited), with a wide range of clinical experience, including the NHS, charity-run organisations, hospices, leading therapy providers, and private practices. Murray is also the COSRT Media spokesperson for Men’s Issues and was recently named as one of London’s top sex therapists by the Evening Standard.
As our Training School grows and our course offerings expand, so does the need for experienced tutors to join our teaching staff, as well as experienced academics and therapists to become external markers, assessing our students’ written assignments. If you are interested in applying to become one of our external markers, please send a copy of your CV to [email protected].
BACP Accreditation
As a final note, we are very proud to announce that the Training School has submitted Phase 2 of our BACP Course Accreditation for the Diploma in Integrative Counselling. Achieving course accreditation is an incredible step forward for the Training School and its students.
